Jailbreak Ipod touch, Iphone using Redsnow

Do you have Ipod 1st generation, or do you have the 2nd generation or maybe you have your own Iphone2g or Iphone3g? And you are trying to install tons of application and Games on your device for free but you don’t know how to do it? This is the solution for you.

it was release last June and it is just in version 0.8 for the first time
that I tried this one on my Ipod touch First Gen all was working perfectly it was the easiest way how to jailbreak your phone and unlock it so you can use any sim card provider.

Steps:

1. You need to download first the Redsnow application. here is the links

2. Also you need to download the latest firmware for your device and update it in itunes. I will suggest you should look for the firmware 3.0 and download on the link provided (for all edition of Ipod touch and Iphone.)

3. After downloading the redsnow application and the firware place it on your desktop, then open the redsnow folder and open redsnow.exe or for mac redsnow.dmg

4. The application will open like this:

5. Then you will see a browse button on the lower part of the application, click it and then locate the ipod firware on your desktop and press ok. wait for a while until you will see the greyed out button next turns black and then click next.

6. The next window will explain you what will be installed, on the lower part of the application you will look Install cydia and put a check mark on it and press next.

7. follow the instruction on how to put your Ipod/iphone to DFU mode.and you need to turn off your phone first before to do this (1. hold the power button for 10 seconds. 2. while holding the power button, press the home button for 20 seconds,then release the power button and keep holding the home button for 30 sec. wait untill you will see a white screen to appear).

8. Then you will see on the screen downloading jailbreak this will take some time so dont remove your phone or ipod on the dock station or cable and make sure your computer or laptop will not go to sleep mode.

9. after the process is finished. we are all done.

You have just jailbreak your ipod/iphone
